One of the more fun All-Star Game events is always the Slam Dunk Contest. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Orlando Magic star Dwight Howard the favorite to win this year’s contest at –150. Howard of course won the contest last year with his amazing “Super Man” dunk.

Sportsbook.com favors Jason Kapono of the Toronto Raptors in the 3-Point Shootout, giving him even odds to win. The Orlando Magic’s Rashard Lewis is +350 to win and both Mike Bibby (Atlanta Hawks) and Danny Granger (Indiana Pacers) are +400.

There are only three competitors given odds for the Skills Challenge and San Antonio Spurs’ guard Tony Parker is the favorite to win at +120. Both Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Devin Harris of the New Jersey Nets are +200.

Finally, oddsmakers favor “the king” Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers at +300 to take home the 2009 NBA All-Star Game MVP. James is expected to get a run in that category from Kobe Bryant of the Lakers (+400), Dwayne Wade of the Hat (+500) and Dwight Howard of the Magic (+500).
