Bulls struggling to cover as road dogs
The Bulls will head to Oklahoma City on Christmas Day to take on the Thunder as a road underdog at 2:30PM ET. Chicago has struggled to cover in that role this season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Thunder are currently 9-point home favorites over the Bulls while the total currently sits at 204.5 points, down from 205.5. Chicago enters play with a 15-11 record but is a brutal 9-17 against the spread, while OKC is 20-9 overall and 13-16 at the betting window.
As an away underdog this season, the Bulls are just 1-4 against the spread, losing by an average margin of -7.8. Granted, the Thunder is just 8-8 against the number as a home favorite in 2015, but OKC is still winning by an average margin of 10.0 so that number is a bit deceiving.
Historically, the favorite is 8-2 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the home squad is 7-3 ATS over that same 10-game span. The Bulls, meanwhile, are just 1-4 at the betting window in their last five road games versus the Thunder.
