Latest NBA Finals Odds
The NBA is off for Christmas Eve, but the season is well under way and the favorites to win the NBA Finals have started to establish themselves. Here’s a look at the latest odds to win the title in the summer of 2019.
According to oddsmakers at BetNow.eu, the Golden State Warriors remain the favorite with -180 odds to win. Other short odds to take the title this year are the Toronto Raptors (+800), the Boston Celtics (+1000) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (+1800).
The Warriors are the two-time defending NBA champs and they have won three of the last four titles. They are the four-time defending Western Conference champions. This year hasn’t been the smoothest for Golden State, as they are just 23-11 right now, sitting a ½ game behind Denver for the best record in the West. Golden State still has DeMarcus Cousins to add to the lineup sometime in February to given them another weapon.
The Raptors started off very strong, but are dealing with some injuries at the moment. Toronto is currently 25-10 on the season, but just 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Raptors have the best record in the NBA and the best record in the East by 1.5 games. The addition of Kawhi Leonard has definitely been helpful.
The Celtics were on one of the league’s top winning streaks of the season at 8 games, but they are just 1-3 in their last four to sit at 19-13 right now. Boston is currently fifth in the East, 4.5 games behind Toronto for first place. Kyrie Irving is leading the team this season after missing a big chunk of 2018 with an injury.
The Thunder are currently third in the Western Conference right now with a 21-11 record. They are just 1 game out of first in the West. While Russell Westbrook is averaging a triple-double this year, Paul George is leading the team in scoring and have an early MVP-type campaign as well.
