Clippers roll in San Antonio
Los Angeles got over the .500 mark on the road last night with a dominant 134-109 win at San Antonio. The Clippers have alternated wins and losses over their last five games. Los Angeles is 22-9 on the season, 8-7 on the road, 18-13 against the spread and 17-14 with the under.
The Clippers are putting up 115.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.3 percent as a team. Defensively, Los Angeles is giving up 108.3 points per game while holding opponents to 43.1 percent shooting. Kawhi Leonard is leading the team with 25.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest. Paul George is adding 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest.
Thunder heating up
Oklahoma City is riding a three-game win streak right now following a 126-108 win at home over the Suns on Friday night. The Thunder are now 14-14 on the season, 10-5 at home, 17-11 against the spread and 15-13 with the under.
OKC is led by its defense, which is allowing just 107.8 points per game this season while holding opponents to 45.7 percent shooting. Offensively, the Thunder are putting up 108.9 points per game while shooting 47.1 percent from the floor. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is leading the team with 18.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Danilo Gallinari is adding 18.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Clippers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six road games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as a favorite.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games as a home underdog and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog in general.
Prediction:
The Clippers had a narrow 90-88 win over the Thunder in their first meeting this season in Los Angeles. That was a game that Kawhi Leonard didn’t appear in. Leonard and George are expected to play tonight, so that should make things tough on the Thunder. Even though Los Angeles played last night, they looked strong. The Thunder have won their last three, but only covered in one of the games, as they have played some weak opponents this last week. I just don’t think OKC has the horses to compete with a full Clippers roster. Los Angeles has the defense and scoring to beat OKC on both sides of the court.
NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers -2
