Bucks vs. Rockets Pick
Are the Houston Rockets going to secure a 13th consecutive win tonight at 8PM ET when they host the Milwaukee Bucks?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Rockets are listed as an 11-point favorite on the spread line. The total sits at 222 points.
Milwaukee sports a 15-12 overall record and 10-13-4 ATS after a 115-109 home loss to the Bulls. Houston is 23-4 overall and 15-11-1 ATS following a 124-109 home victory over the Spurs, its 12th straight win. The two meetings last season were split 1-1 straight up and 1-1 ATS. The over-under also went 1-1.
The Bucks were paced by Giannis Antetokounmpo with 29 points, 16 rebounds and four assists in the loss to Chicago. Khris Middleton contributed 29 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals. Eric Bledsoe added 12 points, seven assists and two rebounds. Milwaukee was outscored 33-27 in the fourth quarter.
Chris Paul tallied 28 points, eight assists, seven steals and four rebounds in the victory over San Antonio. James Harden also scored 28 to go with seven rebounds, six assists and two steals. Clint Capela added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Houston ran out to a 31-16 lead through one quarter.
The under is 6-0 in the last six Houston games played on zero days rest. Houston is 5-1 ATS in its last six games versus a team with a winning straight up record.
Houston is on such an eye-opening roll that it makes you wonder outlandish things such as if it will ever suffer a straight up loss again. Let’s not get crazy here. But Paul has been a huge boost for the Rockets this season as they are 13-0 with him in the lineup as a starter. One more win and it will be an NBA record for wins without a loss by a player in the starting lineup with a new team. In the current 12-game win streak, Houston has won every game by at least seven points and routinely is disposing opponents by double digits. As much attention as its rapid-fire offense gets, the defense has been just as big a reason for success. Don’t expect the Bucks to waltz in and do anything different. If you can’t beat the Bulls at home, good luck against the Rockets on the road. Take the hosts to roll.
