According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Heat are a 6.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 206 points.
Los Angeles comes in with an 11-16 overall record and 13-14 ATS after a 100-91 loss at the Wizards which ended a three-game win streak. Miami is 14-14 overall and 11-15-2 ATS following a 104-98 win at the Hornets. The Heat won the first meeting this season by a count of 104-101 in Los Angeles on Nov. 5. The Clippers are 2-1 straight up and 1-2 ATS in three meetings since the start of last season. The under is 3-0.
In the loss at Washington, Lou Williams led the way with 23 points along with five rebounds and four assists. Jawun Evans accounted for 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals in 40 minutes off the bench. DeAndre Jordan added 12 points and 16 boards. Los Angeles trailed 75-64 through three quarters.
Wayne Ellington led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points and three rebounds off the bench in the win at Charlotte. Tyler Johnson added 16 points and two boards off the bench. Dion Waiters contributed 12 points, six assists and four rebounds. Miami led 79-71 through three quarters.
The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings overall, while the over is 10-4 in the last 14 meetings in Miami. Los Angeles is 4-0 ATS in its last four games overall.
The Clippers received more bad news heading into the Washington game as point guard Milos Teodosic, who recently returned from a foot injury, is now sidelined again with a lung issue. He was held out last night and the case will likely be the same tonight. Los Angeles has been ravaged by injuries this season and it is somehow still getting worse. Look for Miami to take advantage of LA’s depletion on its home court and roll to a win tonight.
