Thunder vs. 76ers Pick
Can the Oklahoma City Thunder solve the host Philadelphia 76ers tonight when they do battle at 7PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the 76ers are set as a 1-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 213 points.
Oklahoma City enters with a 13-14 record and 9-18 ATS after a 100-95 victory at the Pacers. Philadelphia is 14-13 overall and 16-10-1 ATS following a 118-112 overtime win at the Timberwolves which ended a four-game losing skid. The Thunder went 2-0 straight up and 1-1 ATS in two meetings last season. The under went 2-0.
In the win at Indiana, Steven Adams led the way with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Alex Abrines accounted for 14 points and four rebounds. Carmelo Anthony had 12 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots. Paul George recorded 12 points, five assists, three steals and two rebounds in his return to Indiana. George hit the clinching free throws with 10.7 seconds left.
Joel Embiid registered 28 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in the victory at Minnesota. JJ Redick had 26 points, three assists and two rebounds. Richaun Holmes added 15 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. The 76ers outscored the hosts 18-12 in overtime.
Oklahoma City is 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Philadelphia.
The Thunder might be finally getting themselves sorted out after season-long struggles with chemistry, winning five of their last seven games. George missed one of the two losses with a minor injury, a defeat against the Nets in Mexico City. This should be an enteraining game to watch and it will be aired on ESPN. Robert Covington will return for Philly after missing two games with a back bruise, but ultimately I believe OKC gets the job done here. Not like this is a bold proclimation or anything, but I believe Russell Westbrook has a huge game tonight.
