Warriors vs. Jazz Pick
Will the Golden State Warriors run into any trouble when they hit the road tonight to face the Utah Jazz tonight at 9PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -7 points against the Jazz. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 211.5 points. Golden State has won five straight meetings with Utah, covering the spread in four of the five games.
The Warriors are coming off an impressive 115-98 win at the Clippers last night for their third straight win and cover. They are now 19-3 on the season and 11-10-1 against the spread. Golden State is putting up 120 points per game this season while allowing 106 points per contest. The trio of Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are each averaging over 22 points per game while Draymond Green is putting up 10.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest.
Utah is coming into this game pretty hot as well. The Jazz are coming off a 112-105 win over the Suns on Tuesday. They have won three straight to move to 14-9 overall and 12-10-1 against the spread. Utah is averaging just 100.4 points per game on offense this season while the defense is holding opponents to 95.5 points per game. Utah is banged up coming into this game as George Hill is out with a toe injury, Rodney Hood is out with a hamstring injury and Derrick Favors is out with a knee injury. The Three combine for 45 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists per game. Gordon Hayward is also battling a finger injury, but is probable to play.
Even if the Jazz were healthy, I would think the Warriors could win outright and by at least 7. With Utah battling so many big injuries, I don’t see how they can keep the scoring pace with Golden State. The Warriors are really clicking on offense right now and should be able to shoot their way to a big win.
