Is their value in betting Pacers over Warriors?
The Warriors have steamrolled to a 22-0 record but will they face their toughest challenge to date when they visit the Pacers tonight at 7:00PM ET?
Reasons to bet Indiana:
The Pacers are currently a 5.5-point home underdog according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. Even against an undefeated juggernaut like the Warriors, that’s a fair amount of points to give to an Indiana team with a top-10 defense and that plays well on its home court. (The Pacers have not lost at Bankers Life Fieldhouse since October 31.)
If you’re into historical trends, the Warriors are just 2-12 against the spread in their last 14 road games versus the Pacers and are 8-20 at the betting window in their last 28 games overall versus Indiana. The home team is also 11-4 ATS in the last 15 meetings between these two teams.
While Stephen Curry continues to carry the Warriors, the Pacers have their own star in Paul George, who is coming off a career-high 48 points in a 122-119 loss to Utah on Saturday night. George went 15-of-27 from the floor and shot 8-of-11 from 3-point range. He should be able to keep the Pacers in it tonight, so there’s some value in taking the home dog.
