The Wizards and Bulls have struggled over their last 10 games, respectively, but Chicago is laying 5.5 points as a home favorite.
Is that too many points to lay with a team that has dropped seven of its last 10 games straight up?

Wes Unseld Jr. said that Bradley Beal’s right hamstring strain is a low-grade strain, and he’s hopeful that Beal will return on their road trip that begins on December 14th. Beal was expected to be re-evaluated around December 12th, but it appears that he’ll end up being sidelined a little over a week. They play six road games between December 14th and 23rd, which is a big range of games for his potential return. They play four games before that trip, so that will allow Corey Kispert, Jordan Goodwin and Will Barton to try and fill the void for a handful of games. We’ll see who gets the starting nod on Wednesday in Chicago.

Zach LaVine scored a season-high 41 points to go with eight rebounds, two assists, four steals and three triples in Sunday’s loss to the Kings. LaVine was in his bag in this one, nailing 16-of-28 shot attempts and 6-of-7 free throws to post his first 40-point game in two seasons. On the season, LaVine is averaging just 20.9 points (his fewest per game since 2017-18) and shooting 40.9% from the floor (second-worst mark of his career), but he’s turned on the offense in recent appearances. LaVine has scored at least 20 points in five straight and averaged 26 points per game in that span. He’ll look to keep up the hot scoring streak in Wednesday’s matchup with Washington and snap a three-game losing streak in the process.
