According to the latest oddsmakers, Utah is the slight favorite at home, as the Jazz are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Lakers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 210 points. The public betting currently has 52 percent going on the Lakers as the road underdog. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NBA Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Lakers bounce back

After a 114-100 loss at home to the Mavericks on Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers bounced back on Tuesday night with a 105-96 win at Denver. The win moves Los Angeles to 18-3 overall, 9-1 on the road, 12-9 against the spread and 13-8 with the under.

The Lakers are giving up just 103.7 points per game this season while holding opponents to just 43.3 percent shooting. Offensively, Los Angeles is putting up 111.9 points per game, while shooting 48.1 percent from the field. Anthony Davis is putting up 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 blocks per game to lead the team. LeBron James is adding 25.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 10.8 assists per contest.

Jazz end road trip

Utah wrapped up a five-game road trip out East on Monday night in a 103-94 loss at Philadelphia. The Jazz were just 1-4 during the road trip. Utah comes into this game 12-9 overall, 8-1 at home, 8-13 against the spread and 13-8 with the under.

The Jazz are led by their defense, which is allowing just 105.1 points per game while holding opponents to 43.3 percent shooting. Offensively, Utah is putting up 106.1 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from the arc. Donovan Mitchell is leading the team with 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Rudy Gobert is adding 14.0 points, 13.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. Guard Mike Conley is going to be out tonight due to a hamstring injury. He is putting up 13.9 points and 4.6 assists per game.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight conference games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven following a win.

The Jazz are 15-7 against the spread in their last 22 Wednesday games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a loss.

The Lakers defeated the Jazz earlier this season with a 95-86 victory at home. Los Angeles has covered in its last three games with the Jazz, but the Lakers are playing back-to-back and their third game in four nights. That’s going to be hard on LeBron and Davis, especially against an aggressive defense like Utah that has Gobert manning the paint. The Jazz have been tough at home and they know they need to bounce back from a tough road trip. I think they try and jump out on the Lakers quickly and hold them off from there.

NBA Prediction: Utah Jazz -2.5
