Undermanned Indiana tackles Golden State
With Paul George and C.J. Miles sidelined by injuries, the Pacers still managed to beat Oklahoma City yesterday. But can Nate McMillan’s shorthanded squad put up a fight against Golden State?
The two teams square off tonight, with a 7 p.m. ET tip at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives the Warriors odds of –2000 to handle business on the road. Indiana, on the other hand, represents a +950 underdog.
After needing overtime to stave off the Thunder, the Pacers now turn their attention to the defending Western Conference champions. George won’t be available to help contain the NBA’s highest-scoring attack, either. The perennial All-Star received an MRI and X-ray on his bothersome left ankle over the weekend.
Jeff Teague, however did his best George impression on the offensive end about 16 hours ago. The point guard had 30 points and nine assists to key Indiana’s first road victory of the season. He even added six steals and five rebounds.

Yet healthy teams can hardly keep up with Golden State, let alone hobbled ones. Look for Steve Kerr’s crew to improve to 4-0 against the East.
