76ers fall in OT at Thunder

Philadelphia lost 127-119 in overtime Friday night at Oklahoma City to drop to 7-5 overall and 3-5 on the road. The Sixers were outscored 27-24 in the fourth quarter and 20-12 in the extra session. Joel Embiid paced Philadelphia with 31 points on 12-of-24 shooting including 4-of-8 from 3-point range plus 3-of-6 at the free throw line. He also contributed 12 rebounds and two assists. Josh Richardson tallied 28 points, three boards and two assists. Tobias Harris accounted for 21 points, six caroms and three assists. Ben Simmons registered 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight dimes. Al Horford added 12 points, five assists, four boards and two steals.

Cavs stumble against Heat

Cleveland lost 108-97 at home Thursday night versus Miami to drop to 4-7 overall and 2-3 at home. The Cavaliers trailed 68-44 at halftime en route to the defeat. Kevin Love led Cleveland with 21 points on 3-of-8 shooting plus 6-of-6 at the free throw line to go with 10 rebounds and four steals. Collin Sexton tallied 15 points, four boards and three assists. Larry Nance Jr. registered 14 points, eight caroms and three steals off the bench. Cedi Osman had 12 points and seven rebounds. Darius Garland recorded 11 points and two assists. Jordan Clarkson added 10 points, three boards and two dimes as a reserve.

NBA Betting Trends

The Sixers are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall. Philadelphia is 8-20 ATS in its last 28 games versus a team with a winning percentage below .400.

The Cavs are a 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games versus the Pacific Division. Cleveland is 3-1-1 ATS in its last five games overall.

The Cavaliers have alternated between being very competitive and looking completely overmatched this season. With a Philly squad coming in that has been poor on the road and often plays down to its competition, I am betting we get the good side of Cleveland today. The Cavs played well in the second half against Miami Thursday night and even made it interesting for a while in the fourth quarter. I expect that effort to carry over.
