Hawks vs. Lakers Prediction
The Atlanta Hawks gave up 150 points last night in a lopsided defeat. Can Atlanta bounce back enough to stay within the number as a big underdog once again tonight at the Los Angeles Lakers?

Hawks smashed by Clippers
Atlanta suffered a 150-101 defeat Saturday night at Los Angeles to drop to 4-8 overall and 2-4 on the road. The Hawks were outscored 76-39 in the second half of the defeat. Trae Young led Atlanta with 20 points on 4-of-16 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 10-of-12 at the free throw line. He also registered six assists and five rebounds. DeAndre Hunter notched 12 points and two boards. Cam Reddish accounted for 12 points, four caroms, three assists and three blocked shots. Damian Jones tallied 11 points, four blocks and three rebounds. Jabari Parker had 11 points, eight boards and two steals. Evan Turner added 11 points, four rebounds and two steals off the bench.
Lakers slip past Kings
Los Angeles earned a 99-97 home win Friday night over Sacramento as LeBron James hit two free throws with 5.5 seconds left to put the hosts ahead. The Lakers (10-2, 6-1 home) trailed 30-20 after one quarter, but cut the deficit to 50-49 by halftime and managed to carve out the win after the break. James paced LA with 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting including 2-of-7 from 3-point range plus 7-of-7 at the charity stripe. He also accounted for 11 assists, four rebounds and three steals. Anthony Davis registered 17 points, five boards, four blocked shots and two assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 16 points and three rebounds. Kyle Kuzma accumulated 13 points and five caroms off the bench. Alex Caruso added 10 points, three dimes and three steals as a reserve.
NBA Betting Trends
The Hawks are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. Atlanta is 11-5 ATS in its last 16 Sunday games.
The Lakers are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games versus the Hawks. Los Angeles is 10-27-1 ATS in its last 38 games versus the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta might be a little fatigued on a back-to-back, but the positive news is it gets to remain in LA and with the blowout last night less energy was expended. The Lakers have played down to their competition lately and after seeing what the Clippers did last night, I think they ease up on the gas pedal a bit here. Young has the ability to keep his team in any game and I'm banking on a much better shooting night from him tonight to keep this one interesting.
