Rockets blown out at Thunder
Houston fell flat Thursday night and saw its three-game winning streak end with a 98-80 loss at the Oklahoma City Thunder. The loss dropped the Rockets to 4-6 on the season and 4-2 on the road. James Harden paced Houston with 19 points on 7-of-19 shooting with eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. Clint Capela contributed 17 points, seven boards and three assists. P.J. Tucker had 13 points, three rebounds and two assists. Chris Paul added 10 points, six steals, five assists and two rebounds. The Rockets trailed 59-45 at halftime and then only scored another 35 after the break.
Spurs drop second straight
San Antonio lost for a second straight time Wednesday night with a 95-88 loss at Miami. Patty Mills paced the Spurs with 20 points off the bench on 8-of-22 shooting with four rebounds. Davis Bertans registered 19 points and four boards off the bench. DeMar DeRozan accounted for 18 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists and two steals. Bryn Forbes added 12 points and three assists.

Prediction:
At some point the Rockets will probably get it going, but I’m going to take advantage of their struggles now. While they have played better on the road, I can’t see them keeping it that kind of pace at the same time as playing dreadful basketball at home. The loss at Oklahoma City exposed some of Houston’s flaws and it appears very real that this is not as good of a team as last season. San Antonio is traditionally very strong at the AT&T Center and I’ll take a shot on the hosts as an underdog.
