76ers vs. Jazz Pick
Will the undermanned Philadelphia 76ers be able to hang with the host Utah Jazz tonight at 9PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Jazz are a 6.5-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is set at 205 points.
The 76ers come in with a 5-4 record after a 121-110 home win over the Pacers. Utah is 5-5 following a 137-110 loss at the Rockets. The Jazz went 2-0 straight up and ATS in two meetings last season. The over-under went 1-1.
Philadelphia was led by Ben Simmons as he had a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in the win over Indiana. J.J. Redick had 31 points, while Robert Covington contributed 22 points and six boards. Joel Embiid, who will be held out for rest tonight, added 18 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The 76ers outscored the Pacers 29-21 in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Donovan Mitchell paced the Jazz with 17 points, four assists and four rebounds off the bench in the loss at Houston. Rudy Gobert had 13 points and five rebounds. Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood added 12 points apiece. Utah trailed 67-49 at halftime.
Philadelphia is 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings. The under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings.
The 76ers will have to get by without Embiid tonight and in a tough atmosphere and opponent in the defensive-minded and slow-it-down Jazz, it probably won’t go well. Unless Simmons can have a monster game, this will turn into a one-sided affair.
