The Houston Rockets are starting to shrug off a slow start after finishing with the best record in the Western Conference last season. Will Houston continue trending back in a positive direction tonight when it plays at the Indiana Pacers?

Rockets win second road game in a row
After trailing by two at halftime, Houston outscored host Chicago 21-7 in the third quarter Saturday night en route to a 96-88 victory. James Harden led the way with 25 points on 7-of-17 shooting to go with seven assists and four steals. Carmelo Anthony contributed 17 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes off the bench. James Ennis III had 15 points and two steals. Clint Capela added 12 points, 12 boards and two blocked shots. The Rockets moved to 3-5 on the season and 3-1 on the road with the win.
Pacers edge Celtics for third straight win
Indiana picked up a 102-101 home victory over Boston Saturday night as Victor Oladipo connected on a go-ahead 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds remaining. The Pacers are now 7-3 overall and 3-1 at home. Oladipo hit 6-of-18 from the floor and was a perfect 8-of-8 at the free throw line for a game-best 24 points. He also had 12 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Tyreke Evans contributed 17 points and three assists off the bench. Bojan Bogdanovich registered 16 points, three boards and three assists. Myles Turner had 12 points and six rebounds. Domantas Sabonis added 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists as a reserve. The Pacers trailed by 10 after one quarter, but battled to even by halftime as it was 45-45 at the break.
NBA Betting Trends
The Rockets are 0-6 ATS in their last six games versus a team with a winning straight up record. Houston is 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Indiana.
The Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. The under is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
Houston has won two in a road on the road, but considering it was at lowly Brooklyn and Chicago it's hard to tell where the Rockets are right now. It's a tough matchup tonight against an Indiana team that plays at a slow pace and is strong defensively. Adding in the fact the Rockets might be a tad road fatigued, I like Indiana to continue its strong start to the season with another home win as the slight underdog.
