Lakers dominate Grizzlies

Los Angeles cruised to a 120-91 home win over Memphis Tuesday night to improve to 3-1 overall and 3-0 at home. The Lakers trailed by five after one quarter, but outscored the Grizzlies 59-37 over the next two quarters. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 40 points on 7-of-17 shooting plus 26-of-27 at the free throw line. He also ripped down 20 rebounds to go with two assists and two blocked shots. LeBron James tallied 23 points, eight assists and two boards. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 13 points, six caroms and three assists off the bench. Avery Bradley had 12 points, three rebounds and two steals. JaVale McGee added 10 points and nine boards.

Mavs upset Nuggets

Dallas downed host Denver by a count of 109-106 Tuesday night to move to 3-1 overall and 2-0 on the road. Maxi Kleber helped lead the Mavs offensively with 14 points off the bench on 6-of-12 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point range and 1-of-1 at the free throw line. He also registered seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Tim Hardaway Jr. also had 14 points as a reserve plus three boards and two assists. Delon Wright registered 12 points, six assists and three rebounds as a reserve. Dwight Finney-Smith totaled 12 points in 23 minutes. Luka Doncic tallied 12 points, five assists, four caroms and two steals. Jalen Brunson had 11 points, eight assists and four rebounds as a reserve. Kristaps Porzingis accounted for 10 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots. Justin Jackson had 10 points in 19 points off the bench. Seth Curry added 10 points, three dimes and two caroms as a reserve.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. Los Angeles is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games versus the Southwest Division.

The Mavericks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus the Western Conference. Dallas is 1-4 ATS in its last five home games.

The Lakers have yet to play a game away from the Staples Center and that worries me. The lone road game on their record was against the Clippers where the Lakers were designated the away team. Dallas is playing with a ton of confidence right now after beating the Nuggets in Denver despite both Doncic and Porzingis playing poorly. If Dallas can win games with its two studs playing mediocre, they can beat anyone when they're on. I think both have nice bounce back games here and lift the Mavericks to a victory.
