Kings vs. Suns Pick
Can the Phoenix Suns get on track at home when they host the Sacramento Kings tonight at 10PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Suns are getting odds of -1 point against the Kings. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 208.5 points. Sacramento has won and covered in six of the last seven meetings with the Suns. Tonight’s game will take place from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Kings are coming off a 130-88 loss at the Clippers on Saturday to fall to 0-3 on the season and 0-3 against the spread. The Suns fired coach Earl Watson after the loss and Jay Triano will be the interim head coach. Phoenix is averaging 98 points per game on offense while allowing 128.7 per game on defense. Devin Booker is averaging 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game to lead the team while Eric Bledsoe is putting up 15.7 points per contest.
The Kings are coming off a 96-79 loss at Denver on Saturday. Sacramento is now 1-2 on the season and 2-1 against the spread. The Kings are putting up just 90.7 points per game while allowing 96.3 per game on defense. George Hill is leading the team with 13.7 points per game while rookie De’Aaron Fox is adding 23.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest.
The Suns have some major issues, more than just firing Watson is going to fix. Phoenix is a mess defensively and the team also has some injuries to deal with. Sacramento has some questions as well, but I like their makeup more than Phoenix. The Kings are also 5-1 against the spread in their last six trips to Phoenix. The public betting is slightly siding with Sacramento today. I am going with them.
