Heat bring back Wade, title odds climb
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The Miami Heat’s 2016 NBA Finals odds have changed dramatically following the signing of Dwyane Wade.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Heat’s odds to win next year’s NBA title are now 25/1 after being listed at 40/1 before signing Wade. The deal is for one year at $20 million.
“For over a decade, Dwyane has embodied what it means to wear the Miami Heat uniform,” said Heat President Pat Riley. “He has been the pillar and constant of this organization, and is a true champion in every sense of the word. We are thrilled that Dwyane has re-signed and will lead us as we look to win another NBA Championship.”
Over the last couple of days the Heat have also signed Amare Stoudemire to a one-year, $1.5 million deal and Gerald Green to a one-year, $1.4 million contract. The team also re-signed Goran Dragic on July 9.
