Warriors with 2-0 lead
Golden State holds a 2-0 lead in the series at it shifts to Houston. The Warriors were able to grind out a 115-109 win in Game 2 on Tuesday night. Golden State is 63-27 on the season, 30-14 on the road, 39-50-1 against the spread and 47-43 with the under.
The Warriors once again didn’t shoot all that well in Game 2, but still found a way to win. The team was 42 of 91 from the field and just 11 of 36 from the arc. Kevin Durant had another solid game, putting up 29 points with five rebounds and four assists. Draymond Green had a near triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. Stephen Curry dislocated a finger in his off hand early in the game and didn’t seem comfortable the rest of the game. He still finished with 20 points and five assists, but was just 3 of 13 from the arc.
Rockets fall short again
The Houston Rockets came up short again on Tuesday in Game 2, losing by six. They failed to cover a 5-point spread in the loss and are just 1-3 against the spread over their last four. Houston is now 57-32 on the season, 34-10 at home, 44-42-3 against the spread and 46-41-2 with the under.
The Rockets shot pretty well in the loss, but committed 17 turnovers in Game 2. Houston was 36 of 77 shooting for the game and 17 of 40 from the arc. James Harden took a nasty poke in both eyes in the first quarter of the game and struggled with blurred vision. He still put up 29 points with six rebounds and four assists. NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven following a win and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games.
Houston
The Rockets are 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine home games and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 conference games.
Prediction:
The Warriors haven’t shot well and are still up 2-0, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see Curry and Thompson get hot tonight. If that happens, I am not sure there is anything Houston can do. Still, I am going to side with the Rockets at home. Houston is likely to get more calls on their home floor and they absolutely have to have this game tonight. If the Rockets can’t bring their best tonight, then they are never going to win a championship.
NBA Prediction: Houston Rockets -3.5
