Bucks bounce back
After a pretty embarrassing Game-1 performance where Milwaukee lost 112-90 at home, the Bucks bounced back in Game 2, securing a 123-102 win to even the series. The Bucks are 65-23 on the season, 29-14 on the road, 52-32-4 against the spread and 46-42 with the over.
Milwaukee showed much improvement in Game 2, committing just 11 turnovers while pulling down 53 rebounds and hitting 20 3-pointers. Giannis Antetokounmpo played much better as well, scoring 29 points while pulling down nine rebounds with four assists. Khris Middleton added 28 points and seven rebounds while Eric Bledsoe had 21 points with five assists.
Celtics take 1 on the road
While Boston got soundly beaten in Game 2 of the series, the Celtics still did their job by taking 1 of 2 at Milwaukee to start the series. Boston is now 54-34 on the season, 30-13 at home, 43-43-2 against the spread and 49-39 with the over.
The Celtics were outscored 39-18 in the third quarter, which led to their downfall. They finished just 34 of 86 from the field and 10 of 28 from the arc. Kyrie Irving struggled mightily, scoring just nine points on 4 of 18 shooting. Marcus Morris actually led Boston in scoring with 17 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 16 points with six rebounds.
NBA Betting Trends
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 8-2-2 against the spread in their last 12 games when playing on two days rest and 20-7-1 ATS in their last 28 road games.
Boston
The Celtics are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven conference games and 5-0 ATS in their last five after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
Prediction:
The Celtics had a really poor offensive night in Game 2 and that impacted their defense. Returning home should help Boston get back on track defensively, which won’t put as much pressure on their offense. Boston can’t outscore Milwaukee if they let the Bucks get hot. The Celtics have to play physical and keep this game in the low 100’s. If they can’t, Milwaukee will win. I think Boston will get it done tonight.
NBA Prediction: Boston Celtics -2
