Dallas Mavericks DFS Notes
Jalen Brunson registered 24 points (9-of-17 FG, 4-of-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two triples and two steals over 38, turnover-less minutes in the Mavs series-clinching Game 6 win over the Jazz. The Mavs dug themselves into a hole early with some awful 3-point shooting, as they chucked up 10 donuts from distance to open the game, before finally getting a triple to drop during the second quarter. However, Brunson kept Dallas in the game through the first half while most of his teammates were struggling, and he looked like an All-Star in this First Round series. It’ll be interesting to see what the Suns can try and do to slow him down in the second round.
Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Devin Booker (hamstring) is “looking good” ahead of Monday’s Game 1 against the Dallas Mavericks. “He looks good, he looks good,” Cameron Johnson said after Sunday’s practice. “He definitely looks good.” Booker missed three games due to a hamstring strain but returned for Thursday’s Game 6 as the Suns closed out the Pelicans. Suns head coach Monty Williams said that he only wanted to play Booker for about 24 minutes, but he ended up playing 32 and scoring 11 of his 13 points in the second half to help the Suns get the win. The Suns had three days off between games and had a good practice on Sunday according to Williams. “Everybody’s good, we came out clean,” Williams said. “We had a good practice today as far as getting up and down, getting a ton of reps in. Cardio.” Expect Booker, and the rest of the Suns to be healthy and ready to go for Monday’s matchup.
