Jazz vs. Clippers Game 5 Pick
Will the Los Angeles Clippers be able to regroup at home when they host the Utah Jazz in Game 5 of their series tonight at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Clippers are favored in today’s game, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Jazz. The over/under total for the game is listed at 195.5 points.
Utah evened the series with the Clippers on Sunday thanks to a 105-98 win at home. The series now sits at 2-2, but Utah has covered the spread in three of the four games. The Jazz come into today’s game 53-33 overall, 23-20 on the road and 39-43-4 against the spread. Los Angeles is now 53-33 overall, 30-13 at home and 41-44-1 against the spread.
The Jazz got back Rudy Gobert in Game 4 and he helped play a big impact in the win, grabbing 13 rebounds while scoring 15 points. He gave Utah a 42-31 edge in rebounds for the game. Utah also had a big bench in the win, as Joe Johnson scored 28 points off the bench while Derrick Favors had 17 points. Gordon Hayward was battling food poising and could only play nine minutes. Chris Paul had another big game for the Clippers, putting up 27 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Jamal Crawford added 25 points off the bench.
The Clippers continue to be without Blake Griffin and that should be a big factor today. DeAndre Jordan just doesn’t provide the same flexibility in the offense. Utah found a way to win without Hayward playing much of a role. He should be back to full health today and that should spark Utah to another win. Gobert made a big impact for the Jazz and will continue to do so tonight.
