Eastern Conference Odds
(TheSpread) – The Eastern Conference of the 2014 NBA Playoffs look to be a battle of just two teams. Here is a look at the odds to win the conference title this year.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Miami Heat are the favorites to win the East, as they have 2/3 odds. Other short odds to win are the Indiana Pacers (2/1) and the Brooklyn Nets (9/1).
The Heat are the three-time defending Eastern Conference champions and they come into the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the East after winning the Southeast Division. Miami went 54-28 during the season with a 32-9 record at home and a 22-19 mark on the road.
The Pacers come into the postseason as the top seed in the Eastern Conference after winning the Central Division. Indiana was 56-26 this season, going 35-6 at home and 21-20 on the road. The 35 wins at home were most of any team in the NBA.
The Nets are actually the No. 6 seed in the East after going just 44-38 in the Atlantic Division. Brooklyn was 28-13 at home, but just 16-25 on the road. The 16 road wins are the second fewest of any team in the playoffs.
