Heat vs. Pacers Pick
705 Miami Heat at 706 Indiana Pacers, 5PM ET
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Pacers are listed as a 3.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 207 points.
Indiana is still a 3.5-point favorite where it opened, while the total has dropped from 208.5 points. The Pacers are a 4-point or a 3.5-point favorite if you shop around, while the total is 207 almost everywhere but can be bet at 206.5 at some books.
As of Sunday morning, 71 percent of public bets are being placed on the Pacers. Online wager info also says that 51 percent of bets are coming in on the under.
INJURY TO WATCH
Heat center Hassan Whiteside (hip) is doubtful to play, while Dion Waiters (ankle) is out for the season. For the Pacers, center Domantas Sabonis (ankle) is doubtful.
Miami has won two of the three matchups this season, including a 114-106 victory in the lone game at Indiana on Jan. 10. The Heat are 6-4 straight up and 6-4 ATS in the last 10 meetings. Miami has fared well for the most part in the absence of Whiteside as it had won three in a row before a 105-99 loss at the Thunder last game. Indiana has lost three of its last five games, but did notch a 109-104 home win over the Clippers two nights ago. I like how the Heat match up here and think they'll win the season series or at least lose by three or fewer points.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: MIAMI HEAT +3.5
