Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Bucks are 6.5-point favorites to beat the 76ers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 231 points and as of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Bucks to cover the point spread.
Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Joel Embiid double-doubled on Friday against the Kings, scoring 21 points (9-of-19 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with 17 rebounds, three assists, four blocks, one steal and four turnovers in 36 minutes. Embiid looks to be back to his normal self after sitting out the first eight game following the All-Star break. He has double-double in each of his three games since returning and has seen his minutes rise (28-34-26) in each outing. There’s always the chance of a rest day for the All-Star center, but the Sixers are fighting for playoff positioning and also need to work on the chemistry of their new star-ladden starting unit. Embiid is a fantasy superstar when active.
Milwaukee Bucks Fantasy Spin
Pat Connaughton (right ankle sprain) is probable to play Sunday against the 76ers. Connaughton will have a chance to play a large role than usual on Sunday with Malcolm Brogdon (heel) out. Brogdon is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks, which means Connaughton is suddenly on the fantasy radar in deeper leagues. The Bucks play four times next week, which makes him a viable option for those in desperation mode.
NBA Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The 76ers are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games when facing an opponent that scored 100 points or more in its previous contest.
Milwaukee
The Bucks are 16-5-1 at the betting window in their last 22 games coming off a win of more than 10 points.
Prediction
While these two teams certainly have enough firepower to eclipse the over, ultimately I believe oddsmakers inflated this number like they did the Warriors-Thunder matchup on Saturday. Oddsmakers are likely banking on public bettors hammering the over so they can sit back and watch two good teams light up the scoreboard. That said, the under is 19-7 in the Sixers’ last 26 games and is 4-0 in their last four road contests. The under is also 7-1 in the Bucks’ last eight conference games and has cashed in seven of their previous 10 games at home.
