Blazers vs. Thunder Prediction
In what is sure to be a great matchup between guards Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook, the Thunder will host the Trail Blazers tonight at 8:00PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Thunder are 8-point home favorites versus the Blazers while the over/under is sitting at 220 points. While the side hasn't moved as of this writing, the total has gone from an opening number of 221 down to 220.
This is an important week for Portland, which begins a four-game trip that includes dates against OKC, San Antonio, New Orleans and Dallas. The Blazers will look to avoid a third five-game road losing streak this season and they'll face a Thunder team that has lost eight times in its last 12 games. The Thunder's last defeat came at the hands of the Spurs on Sunday (93-85).
Oklahoma City has failed to cover the spread in six of its last seven games versus Northwest opponents and is also 1-4 ATS in its last five home games versus a team with a losing road record (Portland is 14-20 on the road this season). Despite their losing road record, the Blazers have covered the number in seven of their last 10 games away from Portland.
The Blazers are also 11-5 against the spread in their last 16 games and have covered in four of their last five playing on one day of rest. They've also played up to their competition at the betting window, covering in five of their last seven games playing against an opponent with a winning record.
