Magic thumped by Portland

Orlando is coming off a 130-107 loss at home to Portland on Monday night to snap a four-game cover streak for the Magic. The Magic are 27-34 on the season, 11-19 on the road, 27-32-2 against the spread and 29-29-3 with the over/under total.

The Magic are giving up just 106.9 points per game this season while holding opponents to 46.2 percent from the field. Offensively, Orlando is averaging just 105.3 points per game while opponents shoot 43.7 percent from the floor. The Magic have Aaron Gordon listed as questionable to play tonight due to a knee injury. Gordon averages 14.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Nikola Vucevic is leading the team with 19.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while Evan Fournier is adding 18.9 points per contest.

Heat run over the Bucks

Miami is coming off a 105-89 win at home over the Bucks on Monday for one of their best wins of the season. The Heat have now won three straight games. Miami is 39-22 on the season, 26-4 at home, 32-27-2 against the spread and 37-23-1 with the over.

The Heat are putting up 112.7 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.9 percent as a team. Defensively, Miami is giving up 109.2 points per game while opponents shoot 44.8 percent against them. Jimmy Butler is leading the team with 20.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. Bam Adebayo is adding 16.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.

NBA Betting Trends

Orlando

The Magic are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games following a loss and 7-20-2 ATS in their last 29 games against a winning team.

Miami

The Heat are 21-9-1 against the spread in their last 31 home games, but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a win.

Prediction:

These two have met three times this season, and Miami has won and covered in the last two encounters. Both wins came by double digits. The Magic looked awful against Portland on Monday and that was at home. Now they hit the road to face a Miami team that doesn’t lose often at home and is coming off their best performance of the season. The Heat could have a letdown after that win, but they have won three straight at home and I think they will have too much offense for Orlando to deal with.

NBA Prediction: Miami Heat -7
