Clippers on a streak
Los Angeles is coming off a 136-130 win at home over Philadelphia on Sunday for a fourth straight victory. The Clippers are 41-19 on the season, 16-13 on the road, 32-28 against the spread and 31-28-1 with the under.
The Clippers are putting up 116.2 points per game on offense while shooting 46.5 percent from the field. Defensively, Los Angeles is allowing 110 points per game, but opponents shoot just 43.7 percent against them. Kawhi Leonard is leading the team with 27.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. Paul George is adding 21.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.
Thunder throttled
Oklahoma City is coming off a 133-86 loss at Milwaukee on Friday night to snap a five-game win streak for the Thunder. OKC has failed to cover in its last three games. The Thunder are 37-23 on the season, 20-12 at home, 38-22 against the spread and 31-28-1 with the under.
The Thunder are putting up 110.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. Defensively, OKC is giving up just 108.5 points per game while opponents shoot 45.7 percent against them. OKC has good balance on offense as Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander each average 19.3 points per game and they combine for 11.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. Chris Paul adds 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.7 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Clippers are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 Tuesday games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a failed cover.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder have covered in eight straight following a loss of more than 10 points and they are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as a home underdog.
Prediction:
The home team has won both meetings this season while the Thunder covered the spread in both games. OKC has done a good job of playing Los Angeles tough this season. On paper, the Clippers are playing really well right now, but Oklahoma City has been able to bounce back well from losses. The Thunder are a prideful team and they just got embarrassed at Milwaukee. I think that is going to lead to a gut check tonight at home against one of the best in the West. The Clippers have had their struggles on the road, so I am going to roll the dice with the Thunder as a home underdog.
