Nets vs. Lakers Prediction
After cashing as an underdog versus the Clippers on Monday night, the Nets will take on the other L.A. team when they visit Kobe Bryant and the Lakers at 10:30PM ET tonight.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Nets are 1.5-point road underdogs versus the Lakers while the over/under currently sits at 210.5 points. While the side hasn't moved as of this writing, the total has gone from 212.5 down to its current number.
You wouldn't know by their record but the Nets continue to play competitive basketball. In their 105-95 loss to the Clippers (a game in which Brooklyn covered as a 12-point underdog), Bojan Bogdanovic scored 19 points while adding six rebounds and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes. He's become a fixture in Brooklyn's starting lineup and with Wayne Ellington (concussion) out, Markel Brown is starting to make the most of his minutes as well.
The Nets are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games versus the Lakers while the road team itself is 19-5-4 ATS in the last 28 meetings between these two teams. The Nets are also 4-0 against the number in their last four game and are 6-4 against the spread in their 10 games this season playing on no rest. At 17-10 ATS as an away underdog, they have no problem playing in the dog role either.
