According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Bucks are 6.5-point favorites to beat the Bucks. The total, meanwhile, sits at 235 points and as of this writing, 54% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Bucks to cover the point spread.
Milwaukee Bucks Fantasy Spin
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness) is listed as probable for Wednesday vs. the Kings. Coach Mike Budenholzer said that Monday's absence was a maintenance day for their franchise player, so we'd expect Giannis to return to his usual role vs. the Kings. Ersan Ilyasova will head back to the bench if that's the case and may not see many minutes with Nikola Mirotic's role growing.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Buddy Hield admitted it was difficult to sit on the sideline late in the fourth quarter of Monday's loss to the Wolves. After tallying 34 points with five rebounds, four assists, one block, one steal and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes on Saturday vs. OKC, Hield had 18 points in 28 minutes on Monday. Kings coach Dave Joerger, who hasn't seen eye-to-eye with Hield at times this season, benched Buddy for the final 5:42 of the fourth quarter. "I’m a competitor. I always want to be on the court," Hield said. "That’s what I do, man. We all make mistakes out there. We aren’t perfect. ... Everybody knows what I can do and everybody knows what I bring to the table. Yeah, it’s hard. I’m not going to lie to you. It’s hard to watch. As a player, you want to be out there, but you’ve still got to respect the guys out there, too."
NBA Betting Trends
The Clippers are 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games when facing an opponent with a winning record.
The Jazz have covered the spread in five straight games and are 4-1 against the number in their last five home games.
Perhaps Hield will take his benching in the fourth quarter on Monday as motivation to come out and play well tonight. That said, as Rotoworld mentioned in the blurb above, Heild and coach Joerger haven’t always seen eye-to-eye and perhaps the situation is ready to bubble over. The Kings have been competitive of late, winning six of their last 10 games overall but they went 1-3 on their recent road trip, with things coming to a head Monday night in Minnesota. With the “Greek Freak” back tonight for the Bucks, I see them winning relatively comfortably.
Wednesday NBA Prediction: Milwaukee Bucks -6.5
