Lakers continue road trip

Los Angeles is coming off a 128-113 win at Brooklyn on Thursday for a third win in four games as part of this current road trip. The Lakers are 36-9 on the season, 20-4 on the road, 24-20-1 against the spread and 23-22 with the under.

The Lakers are putting up 114 points per game on offense this season while shooting a league-best 48.4 percent from the field. Defensively, the Lakers are giving up 106.2 points per game while opponents shoot 44 percent from the field. Anthony Davis and JaVale McGee are both questionable to play today due to injury/illness. Davis is averaging 26.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per contest. LeBron James is adding 25.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 10.8 assists per contest.

76ers end win streak

Philadelphia ended a four-game win streak on Wednesday in a 107-95 loss at Toronto. The 76ers are now 29-17 on the season, 20-2 at home, 19-23-4 against the spread and 24-21-1 with the under.

The 76ers are putting up 108.4 points per game on offense this season while shooting 46.6 percent from the field. Defensively, Philadelphia is allowing 105.1 points per game while opponents shoot 45.4 percent against them. Philly is still without Joel Embiid due to his hand injury, but it hasn’t impacted them much in terms of performance. Tobias Harris is putting up 19.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Ben Simmons is adding 16.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Lakers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven road games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last seven as a road favorite.

Philadelphia

The 76ers are 1-5-1 against the spread in their last seven as an underdog and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six following a loss.

Prediction:

This is the first meeting between these two teams. Philly has been playing well without Embiid, but the wins also came against losing teams like the Nets, Knicks and Bulls. They struggled to score against the likes of the Pacers, Mavericks and Raptors. The Lakers seem to rise to the occasion in most cases, especially on the road, where they have just four losses in 24 games. The Lakers should force Philly into outside shooting, which has been a problem for them all season.

NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Lakers -4
