Prime Time Matchup…
TNT will host its Thursday night doubleheader tonight, starting with a Clippers-Cavs matchup at 8:00PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Cavs are 5.5-point favorites over the Clippers after opening as a 5-point favorite. Los Angeles is just 2-8 against the spread in its last 10 games versus Cleveland and 1-8 ATS in its last nine road games against the Cavs. The home team is also 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings.
In the second game of the TNT doubleheader, the Spurs go for 12 straight when they visit the Suns at 10:30PM ET. San Antonio is 3-1-1 against the spread in its last five games versus Phoenix and 5-2 ATS in its last seven road games versus the Suns. The Spurs are currently -14.5 in tonight's game.
Who's hot at the betting window?
The Hawks and Kings are both streaking at the betting window, covering in each of their last three games. Unfortunately they're also playing each other tonight at 10:00PM ET in Sacramento where the Kings are a 1-point favorite. Atlanta is a perfect 6-0 against the number in its last six road games versus Sacramento and is 14-3 ATS in its last 17 games overall versus the Kings.
The aforementioned Suns have lost five straight games and are 1-4 against the spread in those five contests. They're also now 17-26 against the spread this season, so it's understandable why their spread tonight has already been bet up from +13.5 to +14.5 versus the 36-6 Spurs.
