Caris LeVert has been ruled out indefinitely after a pre-trade physical revealed a small mass on his left kidney. While the portion of the blockbuster James Harden trade involving the Rockets, Nets and Cavaliers was made official on Friday, the deal between the Pacers and Rockets (involving Victor Oladipo) was held out. And now we know why, as the Pacers announced that LeVert will be out indefinitely due to this kidney issue. LeVert will undergo more tests, and it is unknown how much time he will miss. "On behalf of my family and myself, we want to thank the Indiana Pacers for their support and guidance," LeVert said in a statement released by the Pacers. "We are grateful for their extreme thoroughness during the physical process and I am looking forward to joining the team and being part of this great organization as soon as possible."

Paul George opened up to reporters on Friday night after the Clippers 138-100 beatdown over the Kings. “I'm coming back with vengeance," George said. "I didn't like, not so much of the noise and everything around [the way last season ended], but just the fact that people saw weakness. And I had to answer that.” To PG-13's credit, he's answered the call so far, averaging 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in 2020-21. He also boasts career-high shooting numbers, converting on 50% of his field goals and nearly 52% from beyond the arc, a big reason why he ranks 12th in 9-cat a month into the season.
