According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Kings are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Hornets. The total, meanwhile, sits at 233.5 points and as of this writing, 68% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Kings to cover the point spread.
Charlotte Hornets Fantasy Spin
Tony Parker (rest) will not be available for Saturday’s game against the Kings. It’s the second night of a back-to-back set after the Hornets were blown out in Portland. Devonte Graham was headed to a DNP-CD, but he got the garbage time. Graham will be the backup to Kemba Walker, but he is unlikely to see minutes on the wing. He’s only worth a look in very deep leagues.
Sacramento Kings Fantasy Spin
Coach Dave Joerger talked up Harry Giles after Thursday’s game against the Pistons. Giles went off for a career-high 14 points with two steals and three blocks in the win. After the game, Joerger said he grabbed Giles in the middle of Thursday’s game to tell him “I feel like you’re getting better and the work that you put in, you’re getting better.” Plus, Joerger had more praise on top of that. “I thought he did some good things around the rim,” Joerger said after the game. “I thought he contested some shots and he caught some passes that might have ended up in the second row; he has some great hands.” Maybe Giles could stay ahead of Kosta Koufos, and his upside for well-rounded lines from a premium position could make him a possible add in leagues where you have to be one step ahead.
