Thunder vs. Clippers Pick
Are the host Los Angeles Clippers going to stay hot tonight when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10:30PM ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Thunder are listed as a 2-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 214 points. Oklahoma City opened as a 2.5-point fave, while the total has risen after opening at 209 points.
Who the Public Likes: As of Thursday afternoon, 75 percent of the betting public is on the Thunder to cover the spread.
Injury Report: Oklahoma City shooting guard Alex Abrines missed the last game with a groin strain and it is unknown whether he will suit up tonight. Andre Roberson is out until mid-January with patellar tendinitis. For Los Angeles, Austin Rivers has missed the last two games with a strained Achilles and he is questionable for tonight. Danilo Galinari has been out with a strained glute and he isn’t expected back until early February. Patrick Beverley is out for the season with a knee injury.
Who the Trends Like: Oklahoma City is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The under is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles, but the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall.
Who We Like: The Clippers are a hard team to fade right now. They are 3-0 since Blake Griffin returned to action earlier than expected from a knee injury. They’ve scored at least 108 points in their last eight games, with a lot of credit going to Milos Teodosic for providing a spark plug to getting the offense rolling now that he is healthy. While Oklahoma City ended a two-game losing skid with a win at the Lakers, don’t expect it to get a second straight win in LA. I like the Clippers to continue their surge toward getting back in the playoff picture.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS +2
