Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Thunder are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Lakers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 229.5 points and as of this writing, 51% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Thunder to cover the point spread.
Oklahoma City Thunder Fantasy Spin
Steven Adams hit 5-of-8 shots for 12 points with 13 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes against the Mavericks on Monday. The Mavericks hacked him early and often, as Adams finished 2-of-8 from the free throw line. That knocked him down to 53% on the season, but he’s still been a top-75 asset in 9-category leagues. However, if you’re punting free throws he’s been a top-25 player for his solid output in points (15.6), rebounds (10.0), steals (1.5) and FG% (59.6%).
Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin
LeBron James (left groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Thunder. It’ll be his fourth consecutive game on the sidelines, which will result in another start for Josh Hart and there will be more opportunity for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. LBJ was able to get up some shots on Tuesday, which is the first time he’s been able to do that since sustaining the groin injury, so that’s a positive. However, he probably won’t be able to get back out there until he goes through a full practice, so for now, we’ll consider him doubtful for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
