Rock N Roll Tequila 170 Predictions

NASCAR Xfinity Series Rock N Roll Tequila 170 Predictions 8/11/18

The NASCAR Xfinity Series finds itself on its own in Ohio for the running of the Rock N Roll Tequila 170 this afternoon. Here’s our picks to win this afternoon’s race.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Justin Marks is favored to win this race, as he is getting odds of +300 to prevail. Other short odds to win are Justin Allgaier (+450) and Austin Cindric (+500). The Rock N Roll Tequila 170 takes place today at 3PM ET from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The race will air live on the NBC Sports Network.

52001 Justin Allgaier +450

A lot of focus goes on road-course specialists for a race like this, but I think Allgaier is a series regular that can contend for the win. He has had some good runs at other road courses, including a third-place finish last week at Watkins Glen. He also has finished in the top 5 of this race before. Allgaier has two wins and four runner-up finishes in 2018. I like his consistency to push him to a top finish today.

52003 Daniel Hemric +700

Hemric was the runner-up in this race a year ago and I think today could be the day he picks up his first-ever win in the series. He has been pretty good at avoiding really poor runs this year, as he has nine top-5 finishes and 13 top-10 finishes. Ohio has been his best road course over his short career, so he should come in with confidence today.

52005 Cole Custer +1000

Custer is looking for the second win in his Xfinity Series career today. Road courses haven’t been a major issue for him, as he was sixth last week at Watkins Glen. This year, Custer has put himself near the front of the pack. He has seven top-5 finishes and 16 top-10 performances. Regardless of the track, Custer has found a way to compete. Eventually that will pay off for him and it could pay off for him today.
