Daytona 500: Busch vs. Stewart
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart are two of the most competitive drivers in all of NASCAR. Which one of these two fiery drivers will fair better in the 2011 Daytona 500?
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have Busch as the favorite to win this matchup with odds of -140 while Stewart comes in with odds of -110.
Busch will start 10th in Sunday’s race while Stewart qualified in 25th place.
Busch has one win in his career at Daytona with four top 5’s and four top 10’s. He has an average finish of 19.5 and a driver rating of 99.0, which is second best in NASCAR.
Stewart has won three times at Daytona and also has 7 top 5’s and 12 top 10’s. His average finish at the track is 17.1 and his driver rating is 100.7, which is best of any driver in the series.
Busch has the starting position in this matchup and he seems to have a nose for the finish line that Stewart has been lacking in recent years. I like Busch in this matchup as I think he will have some draft pairings that he can set up early to pull ahead of the pack.
2011 Daytona 500 Matchup Odds – Kyle Busch vs. Tony Stewart – Feb. 20
