TORONTO (AP) -Blue Jays left fielder Reed Johnson will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a herniated disk in his lower back.
Johnson, who will have the operation in Florida, was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday. The team hopes to get him back sometime in July.
Johnson is hitting .265 this season with a home run and seven RBIs. Adam Lind will start in left while Johnson is out.
