DETROIT (AP) -The Baltimore Orioles have claimed right-handed pitcher Chris Lambert off waivers from Detroit.
Lambert went to the Orioles on Thursday. The Tigers had designated him for assignment earlier this week.
The 26-year-old Lambert was 0-1 with a 14.85 ERA in two relief appearances with the Tigers this season. He was 6-7 with a 3.55 ERA in 21 starts with Triple-A Toledo.
Lambert was 1-2 with a 5.66 ERA in eight appearances, including three starts, with Detroit in 2008.
