CINCINNATI (AP) -The Cincinnati Reds returned right-handed reliever Todd Coffey to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
The Reds needed a roster spot for Homer Bailey, making his major league debut Friday night at 21 against the Cleveland Indians.
Coffey, 26, was optioned to Louisville on May 24, then recalled Tuesday. He appeared twice in this week’s series against St. Louis, each time getting one out without allowing a run.
