CHICAGO (AP) -Aramis Ramirez was ejected from Sunday’s game against the Houston Astros.
Ramirez was angry after being called out on strikes in the sixth inning. After home plate umpire Tony Randozzo rung Ramirez up on a full count with runners on first and second and two outs, Ramirez slammed his helmet and was immediately ejected.
Cubs manager Lou Piniella came out of the dugout and had a short conversation with Randozzo after Ramirez’s ejection.
The Cubs were trailing 5-3 at the time.
