New York Yankees DFS SPIN
Jake Bauers, who had been leading off of late, went 0-for-3 as the Yankees’ No. 5 hitter against the Braves on Tuesday. Bauers has some impressive exit velocity numbers, but he’s struck out a whopping 32 times in 73 plate appearances over his last 18 games. The homers will probably keep coming, but he simply must get the strikeout rate somewhat under control to remain helpful.
Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Marcell Ozuna finished 2-for-2 with a three-run homer and two walks against the Yankees on Tuesday. The Braves scored their five runs tonight on Ozuna’s three-run homer in the first and Ronald Acuña’s two-run shot in the fourth. Ozuna was on base three other times, but that didn’t matter much, as the four guys below him in the order all went hitless. Ozuna’s homer was his 24th in 103 games this season. He hit 23 in 124 games last year.

Yankees vs. Braves MLB BETTING PREDICTION
Morton has been beaten up over his last five starts, posting a 1-4 record and a 5.84 ERA over his last 24 2/3 innings of work. His biggest problem? An 8.03 walk rate over that span. That’s brutal. His 7.66 strikeout rate is fine, but he’s handing out too many free passes and his 10.3% HR/FB rate is trending in the wrong direction as well. As of this writing, the Yankees have yet to announce a starter but whoever it is, he’ll be facing an Atlanta offense that owns a 141 wRC+ over the past 30 days. That’s the highest in baseball so the Braves are likely to mash no matter who is on the hill for the Yankees. New York, meanwhile, owns a 99 wRC+ over the last 30 days, which is around average. But with Morton’s recent struggles, I like the over tonight in Atlanta.
