White Sox vs. Indians MLB Prediction
After winning the American League Central yesterday, will the White Sox have enough left in the tank to knock off the Indians on Friday night when the division rivals meet at 7:10 p.m. ET?
Game Snapshot
921 Chicago White Sox (-135) at 922 Cleveland Indians (+115); o/u 8.5
7:10 p.m. ET, Friday, September 24, 2021
Progressive Field, Cleveland, OH
Chicago White Sox DFS Notes
Andrew Vaughn picked up a two-run single on Thursday in the second game of a doubleheader against the Indians. Vaughn came off the injured list before the second game of the twin-billing, and the rookie hitter delivered with a two-run single that gave the White Sox a 2-1 lead in the sixth. Vaughn has not shown much consistency in 2021 when healthy — very few young hitters have — but there have been some real flashes that suggest that he’s going to be a strong fantasy option in the coming years.
Cleveland Indians DFS Notes
Oscar Mercado hit a walk-off two-run homer in the second game of a doubleheader Thursday against the White Sox to give Cleveland a 5-3 win. Mercado came up with two outs, and he swatted a two-run homer off Jose Ruiz to give Cleveland the win and a split of the doubleheader. The win doesn’t mean much for Cleveland, as they were eliminated from the AL Central competition with the loss in the first game. Mercado has his sixth homer, but is still slashing .219/.298/.374 on the year.
