Nationals’ 2015 MLB Season Odds
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Spread) – With a loaded pitching staff and deep lineup, will the Nationals win over 93.5 games in 2015?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Nationals’ over/under total for wins has been set at 93.5. They’re also 6/1 favorites to win World Series, 3/1 favorites to win the NL pennant this year and 1/4 favorites to win the NL East Division crown.
Washington’s pitching staff was already one of the best and deepest in baseball, and that was before the club signed Max Scherzer to a massive free agent contract this winter. Scherzer will lead a rotation that features Stephen Strasburg, Jordan Zimmermann, Gio Gonzalez and Doug Fister.
The lineup is deep as well thanks to the addition of Yunel Escobar, who will play second base in an infield that also includes shortstop Ian Desmond, third baseman Anthony Rendon and first baseman Ryan Zimmerman. Wilson Ramos returns as the catcher while Bryce Harper, Denard Span and Michael Taylor will occupy the outfield. Jayson Werth also continues to work his way back from January shoulder surgery.
Given their talent and the division they play in, the Nationals should have no problem eclipsing 93.5 wins in 2015.
