Updated 2014 MLB Win Totals
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With spring training games now under way in Arizona and Florida, let’s take a look at the updated over/under totals for the 2014 MLB season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Los Angeles Dodgers have an over/under of 92 wins for 2014, which is the highest total for any of the 30 MLB teams. The only other team with a projection of 90 wins is last year’s National League pennant winners the Cardinals, who have an over/under of 90 wins. The Tigers are the only team with an over/under of 89 for wins this season.
The defending World Series champion Red Sox have an over/under of 87 for number of wins in 2014, while the Braves have the same number. Three teams have a win total of 88, including the A’s, Rays and Nationals, who might be a sleeper to win the World Series this season. The teams with a win total of 86 are the Angels, Giants, Yankees, and Rangers.
As for the teams with the lowest over/under for wins, the Cubs have an over/under of 69, while the Astros have a league-low over/under of 62 for victories. The Marlins are also listed in the 60s at 69, while the Twins are listed at 70 and the Mets are 73.
