Toronto Blue Jays Fantasy Spin
Lourdes Gurriel singled twice and scored a run Tuesday against the Yankees. He led off the top of the ninth inning with a single and eventually came around to score, as the Blue Jays rallied against Aroldis Chapman but ultimately fell short. Yuli’s brother is red-hot at the plate with four straight multi-hit games and six homers across his last 16 contests. He still needs to work on his plate discipline, but there’s no doubt that Gurriel has to be in fantasy lineups right now.
New York Yankees Fantasy Spin
Aaron Judge slugged his first home run since returning from the injured list in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays. DJ LeMahieu led off the bottom of the first inning with a bomb and Judge made it back-to-back with a dinger of his own to the opposite field. He also added a single and a walk, compiling in first two base knocks in his fourth game back from the IL.
MLB Betting Trends
Toronto
The Blue Jays are 5-12 in their last 17 road games.
New York
The Yankees have won five of Paxton’s last six home starts and are 7-2 in his last nine outings overall.
Prediction:
Now that the Yankees are back to full strength offensively, they’re on a roll and they’ll continue to slug. That said, up until last night when they could only muster three runs, the Blue Jays had been swinging hot bats themselves. In fact, they had scored at least five runs in six straight contests before last night’s 4-3 loss to the Yankees. The Blue Jays are still catching +125 juice on their runline and to me, that’s too much value to pass up, even against a Yankees team that has won nine of its last 10 overall.
Wednesday MLB Prediction: Toronto Blue Jays +1.5 (+125)
