Riley Greene singled and scored a run as the Tigers fell to the Guardians in the nightcap of Friday’s twin bill. Greene started off the fourth inning by hustling out an infield single. He then raced around to score on a two-out RBI double off the bat of Andy Ibáñez. The 22-year-old has been outstanding when he’s been on the field this season — slashing a robust .304/.364/.482 with 11 homers, 33 RBI and six swipes in 86 games.

Will Brennan delivered a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth inning on Friday night as the Guardians rallied to beat the Tigers 4-1 in the nightcap of their doubleheader. The Guardians entered the eighth inning trailing 1-0, but Bryan Rocchio tied things up on an RBI single off of Jose Cisnero, then Brennan put them ahead to stay. He also raced around to score on an RBI single by Gabriel Arias. The 25-year-old outfielder finished the night 2-for-4 and is now slashing .254/.287/.360 with five homers, 33 RBI and eight stolen bases in 106 games on the year.

The edge is with the Guardians based on the pitching matchup, but Cleveland’s 83 wRC+ over the past month is brutal. Seeing as how the Tigers aren’t exactly ripping the cover off the ball either (96 wRC+), I’m going to take the under.
